PUBLISHED: 16:41 14 January 2019

Thought the season for panto was over? Think again.

A Harpenden children’s theatre group are warming up their voices and polishing their dance shoes ready for their January pantomime.

The Hurst Children’s Theatre Group (HCTG) are putting on Aladdin at the Harpenden Public Halls - it will be packed with songs, jokes and audience participation for an evening of family fun.

It is a tale which starts with the wicked Fu Manchu’s desire for a lamp to give him everlasting power. However, he needs the help of a boy with the purist of heart - Aladdin.

Aladdin and his mother, Widow Twanky, find that their life changes when they discover the Genie of the Lamp.

HCTG will perform Aladdin from January 24 to 27. Adult tickets are £11 and concessions are £8.
