A free course for carers in mental health will be held in Harpenden from April.
Caring and Coping, a course designed by national charity Rethink Mental Illness, was founded in 2016 in collaboration with family members and unpaid carers.
Covering areas from diagnosis, the mental health system, coping strategies and treatments, the course is an ideal way for carers to become more informed, deal with challenges and take greater care of their own wellbeing.
The course takes place over six weeks from April 11 and will be held at the Quaker Meeting House on Southdown Road, Harpenden, on Thursdays from 12pm to 2pm.
Jonathan Clack, from Rethink Mental Illness, said: “We are very proud to offer this course as it will help carers become better informed and cope with the challenges that caring brings.”
Previous courses have been run in St Albans and Letchworth.
Places can be reserved by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 01920 463663.
