Archant

It’s an idea straight out of Dragons’ Den! A Harpenden entrepreneur has introduced what he calls the first green dry cleaning machines to the UK.

Nick Harris’ company VClean Life has installed drop-and-go vending machines at Epping station where people deposit clothes to be cleaned using biodegradable soap and collect them 24 hours later.

Nick said: “We are transforming the dirty dry cleaning sector, by making green cleaning accessible with VDrop machines now hitting the high street. There is nothing else like this on the market. In just 24 hours customers will receive a premium service at ridiculously cheap prices, starting at just £2.50 for shirts and £3 for all other items.”

Users sign up online at www.vclean.life and receive a QR code, which they input into the machine to book in their clothes.

Plans are afoot to install machines at a number of Underground stations.
