Harpenden can boast a number of celebrity residents over the decades, from musicians to comedians, photographers and presenters, and everything inbetween.

Our Starstruck Sunday series is putting the spotlight on some international icons and lots of unsung heros in the local community.

A founding member of legendary 80s band Bananarama, Siobhan Fahey lived in Harpenden when she was a teenager.

After splitting from the band in 1987, this Irish lass also set up a group called Shakespears Sister, which won an Ivor Novello Award for the Best Contemporary Collection of Songs and a Brit Award, both in 1993.
