Picture captures Harpenden locals paying their respects to fallen soldiers

One hundred years ago on November 11, the world rejoiced at the end of World War One.
Throughout this centenary year, Harpenden has been active in commemorating the sacrifices of soldiers on the frontline of the conflict.
Harpenden Town Council even installed three six-foot statues on the High Street, Southdown and Batford, which recognise the men who died during the war.
