We all know Harpenden is a fantastic place to live, but who are the individuals or organisations which lift it above the rest of the county?
As part of our remit to celebrate all that's great about our town, we're launching the inaugural Enjoy Harpenden More Awards, designed to recognise the best of the best.
But in order to make these awards truly representative of what local residents think, we need your nominations in the seven categories chosen for this year.
You can nominate as many times as you like free of charge by simply emailing EnjoyHarpendenMore@archant.co.uk before the end of August.
Please use the subject 'EHM Awards' with your entries.
A shortlist of nominees will then be prepared for a public vote through the EHM website, with presentations to the winners later this year, and full coverage online and in a future edition of the EHM newsletter and the Herts Advertiser.
The categories are as follows:
Restaurant of the Year - what venue would you choose for a nice evening out?
Pub/Bar of the Year - where do you enjoy a tipple?
Café of the Year - any venue which doesn't serve full meals
Customer Service Award - what business or individual goes the extra mile?
Retailer of the Year - nominate your favourite independent shop
Salon of the Year - whether it's hair, nails or beauty, what's your preferred choice?
Harpenden Hero - celebrate your community champion, local volunteer or Harpenden stalwart.
The only restriction for nominations is that any business or individual must be located, work or live within the Harpenden postcode of AL5.
Herts Ad reporter and Enjoy Harpenden More champion Franki Berry said: "I'm really excited to read all the nominations because I know there are loads of great people and organisations in Harpenden.
"Whether it's customer service that went above and beyond, a café with the best cake in town, or an unsung hero working tirelessly to help others - please, get in touch and let us know.
"It will be great to give these individuals the recognition they deserve."
