The Harpenden Trust has a new logo to give the charity an updated look.

Chairman Rodger Livesey put the finishing touches on the sign heralding the charity's new logo.

Designed to be bright, modern and engaging, the logo will grace updated leaflets, banners and the new website. The sign has already gone up at the trust centre in Southdown Road.

Rodger said: "It's a bright new logo, and it says exactly what we do! We are there to support the community just as we have for more than 70 years."

The Harpenden Trust as founded in 1948, with Dr Agnes Kelynack as the first chairman. It supports struggling families and aims to benefit the community as much as possible.

Last year the trust's care fund supported families and individuals with grants totalling over £100,000, and the separate community fund makes grants to local voluntary organisations for projects - particularly ones linked to youth, sport, education and the elderly.

Over 70 years on, the charity continues to provide for the residents suffering hardship, financial or otherwise, and to act as the good neighbour with the active support of town residents.
