A pub in Harpenden is set to get a complete revamp in 2019 with new-look bedrooms and bar area.
The Old Cock Inn in High Street will be closed for refurbishment from Wednesday, January 2, with the whole venue renovated to achieve an entirely new look.
The pub is owned by brewery Charles Wells, and will be reopened to the community in Easter 2019. Renovations include an updated, cosy new bar area and six updated bedrooms with en-suites.
There will also be a new menu for visitors to enjoy a meal at any time of day in the pub’s new surroundings.
Steve Wilkins, managing director of Charles Wells’ operating partner Little Gems, said: “New year is a time for new beginnings, so we’re looking forward to giving The Old Cock Inn a totally new look in 2019 and hope that doing so will improve this much-loved destination for the local community and visitors alike.”
