The Harpenden Society has teamed up with a local gym to offer fitness sessions at Harpenden Carnival.

Harpenden Carnival's theme this year is 'Get Active!' and the Harpenden Society has teamed up with Harpenden Fitness Space to offer hourly exercise routines for children and adults.

The carnival takes place on Saturday, June 8 on Harpenden Common, and the Harpenden Society and Fitness Space will occupy stands number 48 and 49. The fitness sessions will be held in a mini arena, which will be assembled by Harpenden Scouts, next to stand 48.

Harpenden Fitness Space are also running competitions, giving people the chance to win three months' membership worth £210 or one month's membership worth £69.

Other activities at the Carnival include an inflatable obstacle course, archery, a zipwire, a motorbike stunts show and displays from local sports clubs, as well as an exhibition of work by local artists.

The carnival will start with a procession from Lydekker Park to the Common at 12pm, and will end at 6pm.
