Are you one of those people who likes to keep their brain active by learning new and fascinating things about the wider world? Why not sign up to a course with the Harpenden branch of the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA)?
The WEA runs courses on various topics, lasting between 90 minutes and two hours a week, and can last for either 10 or 11 weeks. No qualifications are required to attend, and there are no exams at the end!
The aim of the sessions is to make learning a friendly, informal and enjoyable experience.
Courses starting in September focus on a variety of subjects including the British Raj in India between 1605-1857, the English parish church from the Reformation to the 20th century, contemporary literature, the English musical renaissance in the 20th century, and art history.
Most of the courses meet in the Randall Room, Harpenden Trust Centre, at 90 Southdown Road, and for more information visit www.weaharpenden.org.uk
